EXTERIOR REPAIRS

Cracked stone, crumbling brick, and missing mortar can not only harm your home's looks but can often lead to additional property damage and potential safety hazards.

Our restoration team has worked on many older homes in Arlington, Alexandria, and Washington, DC, helping to maintain and restore aging installations for many years to come.

WHY DOES IT CRACK?

This area is very susceptible to the “freeze and thaw” effect due to our unpredictable climate. They say in Virginia, if you don't like the weather wait an hour. Small cracks from natural erosion are exacerbated when water flows in from the rain or melting ice and snow. When the temperature falls at night, this water freezes and expands, forcing the cracks wider and eventually breaking the bonding altogether.

How do we solve it?  At Diaz Masonry Services, we have over 20 years of experience in masonry repairs.  Our masons use a variety of techniques depending on the structure and the extent of the damage.  When possible, we work with the existing stone and brick, but in more severe cases, we can match and replace materials to restore the look of the original installation.
